Jack Letts Interviewed in Syrian Prison

CTV produced a documentary that investigated the circumstances of detention endured by prisoners in NE Syria.

Alex Neve, a member of the Civil Society Delegation who visited Jack and other Canadian detainees in the camps and prisons in 2023 states: "To understand what is at stake for Canadians unlawfully locked up for 7+ years in NE Syria, and the callow injustice of Canada's refusal to intervene to uphold their basic human rights, take the time to watch Avery Haines' important documentary for CTV W5, and her powerful interview with Jack Letts, imprisoned in Raqqa.”

The interview, broadcasted on Saturday, November 30th, marked the first time Jack had appeared on camera or been allowed to speak to the media since 2019.
